Job Description

Compliance Framework & Risk Management

1. Oversee the implementation of the compliance framework and the Compliance SOP to ensure comprehensive coverage of all compliance obligations.

2. Identify and address compliance gaps, assess risks, and strategize on risk mitigation. Report findings and recommendations to the HOD.

Compliance Audits, Reviews, and Special Review/Investigation

1. Lead regular compliance audits and reviews, as well as special review/ investigations into allegations, ensuring thoroughness and alignment with regulatory standards.

2. Ensure compliance issues are reported and addressed promptly, maintaining organizational adherence to legal and ethical standards.

Whistleblowing System Management

Oversee the management of the whistleblowing system, ensuring all reports are handled securely, investigated thoroughly, and resolved confidentially.

Compliance Matrices & New Obligations

Develop and manage compliance matrices to track and ensure fulfillment of all compliance obligations, regularly scanning the regulatory environment for new obligations and incorporating them into the framework.

Monitoring & Reporting

Continuously monitor compliance activities and prepare reports for senior management, identifying compliance gaps, assessing risks, and proposing corrective actions.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

Collaborate with other departments to implement compliance policies and ensure organization-wide adherence to statutory requirements and internal controls.

Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) Maintenance

Assist the Head of ICD in maintaining the ABMS, ensuring compliance with ISO 37001 standards and that all anti-bribery measures are effectively implemented and monitored.

Training & Awareness

Provide training to staff on compliance and ABMS-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organization.

Legal & Regulatory Updated

Stay informed of relevant legal and regulatory changes, ensuring the organization adapts its compliance framework to remain aligned with new requirements.

General Summary:

The Compliance Manager/Assistant Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational implementation of the organization’s compliance framework, focusing on adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role involves managing compliance risks, overseeing compliance reviews and audits, and supporting the Head of ICD in maintaining the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS). This position also involves close collaboration with other departments to ensure organization-wide compliance and to uphold the organization’s ethical standards.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in compliance, risk management, or related fields.
• Skills: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, and project management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of compliance framework, SOP, risk management frameworks, compliance matrices, and ABMS maintenance.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certification preferred).
